Dog thyroid was created by Saskia
Hi :) A dog struggles with thyroid imbalance and is overweight. The vet wants to prescribe a long-term medicine. Is there a tissue salt that could help with balancing a dog's thyroid?

Hi Saskia

Thyroid issues can be challenging to address, as underlying issues may exist. Generally, the tissue salts recommended for thyroid imbalances are:
Calc Fluor No 1, Calc Phos No 2, Kali Phos No 6, Nat Sulph No 11, and Silicea No 12. To make it easier, you could try our Osteo Synergy and add Kali Phos and Nat Sulph as individual salts.

You may want to look at diet as well and move to a lower-carbohydrate pellet or balanced raw food diet.

For many years before thyroid drugs, iodine was used for thyroid imbalances—you could perhaps get some kelp tablets or powder to add to his food or tissue salts (I will advise how to give in that question you've also asked).
