Since cell salts are best used sublingually, what’s the best way to have a dog take them? Should they be put directly in the dog's mouth, mixed with their food or be dissolved in their water? Thank you!

It's a good question!

The AllisOne tissue salts can be chewed, and many dogs will eat them just as they are. This is fine as long as they don't swallow them whole and chew them before swallowing, as they contact the oral mucosa, which is acceptable for absorption. (I tend to chew mine as well, as I'm usually in too much of a hurry to sit with a mouthful of salts dissolving under the tongue.)

I crush the tissue salts for two of our older, fussier dogs and rub them onto their gums like a baby teething powder.

You can also crush them, dilute them into a bit of water, and syringe the solution into the mouth or add them to a bit of yoghurt, kefir, food, or drinking water, as I described with your cat.
