I have a couple of questions regarding tissue salts for my pets and, before I dive into the depths of Dr. Google, your website was the first on my list to ask.My dog has been diagnosed with lung fibrosis, which tends to worsen during the humid periods here in Durban. We've been managing her condition with Codeine and Texa, but recently she had a severe coughing episode. In a bit of desperation, I gave her a dose of tissue salt 5, and it seemed to help her significantly. I'm wondering if there are any other tissue salts that could be beneficial for her condition?Additionally, I've seen the positive effects of tissue salts on both my dog and myself, and I'm curious if they could also help my horse. My horse has a persistent runny nose and gunky eyes. We tried a course of Perbac, but unfortunately, it didn't work. Currently, he's on a natural hay-fever mix consisting of Aniseed, Garlic Flakes, Comfrey Leaf, Eyebright, Marshmallow Leaf, Nettle, and Siberian Ginseng. While I've noticed a slight improvement, it hasn't fully resolved his symptoms. Are there any tissue salts that you would recommend for his condition?Thank you in advance for your advice.

For your dog, it's great that you tried Kali Mur , which has helped. I think you could add the following:
Calc Fluor - for elasticity of the lung fibres
Nat Mur - to balance the fluids
Nat Sulph - to eliminate any excess, particularly during highly humid periods
Silicea - a connective tissue cleanser and conditioner to help with the Calc Fluor and Kali Mur
Kali Sulph - also an epithelial cell conditioner and cleanser, often used for chronic, mucosal or lung conditions and persistent coughs.

Alternatively, you could use our Beauty Synergy , which contains all of these except for the Nat Sulph , which you can add when it's very humid or you notice the cough worsening. Depending on the size of your dog, you could start with one tablet of each at least twice a day since this condition is established and quite prevalent. Use more frequently if the symptoms persist or are worse on certain days.

I used tissue salts for my daughter's horse years ago, and they definitely made a difference; they do need higher doses for their weight, though - you could use at least 3-4 tablets twice a day as a starting point and increase if there is no change after a week or two. You could also use the Beauty Synergy for your horse, or if there is any inflammation, you could try the Immuno Synergy . Both of these are good for allergies; it sounds like it is ongoing in your case, so I suggest Beauty Synergy. The Immuno Synergy is better in more transient, acute episodes.
Calc Fluor, Kali Mur, Nat Mur and Silicea are always great for the eyes, and Kali Mur, Kali Sulph and Nat Mur should help with the runny nose and any gunky discharge. We had great feedback from the White Lion Trust about using the Beauty Synergy for their elderly lion's eyes; it conditioned his eyes and restored his failing vision.
