Suspected reflux and sleep disturbances was created by JeanneMarie
Hi

Which combination of tissue salts can I use for a 12.5kg 11month old with the following problem:

* fine during the day
* wakes crying multiple times a night ranging from 3 to 30
* I suspect silent reflux as I can hear him swallowing
* restless sleeper
* my eldest did the same and only started sleeping through at age 3
* bottle fed

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Kindest regards,
Jeanne-Marie

Thanks for posting your questions, Jeanne-Marie. It sounds as though you could do with a good night's rest too.

Generally, sleep disturbances and restlessness respond well to Kali Phos , and in children, Calc Phos ; if there is tension, spasm, or cramping involved, Mag Phos .

Nat Phos is usually the answer to reflux issues, especially if you notice any sour-smelling regurgitations, dirty nappies, or a predisposition to nappy rash.

All of these biochemic salts are in the Rescue Synergy , and you could start with that on its own and see how you go for a while. If you find that the restlessness is still problematic, use it in conjunction with the individual salts as you go along. (i.e. if you notice a sour-smelling dirty nappy or nappy rash, give some additional Nat Phos each time. Or, each time he wakes, some of the Kali Phos alternating with Calc Phos, and so on.)

I'd suggest just starting with the Rescue Synergy and give it at least three times a day, as well as each time he wakes during the night. Crush the tablets into a powder, and apply to his gums as you would a teething powder. You could also add one crushed tablet to each bottle when he feeds until there is some change in the pattern. Then perhaps you can get to a point where he has it at bedtime and whenever necessary on waking.

Please let us know how you get along.

Best wishes,
Alison
